Island Place

Our stay at this property was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, providing a very comfortable experience. The front desk staff demonstrated outstanding professionalism, being both courteous and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The location is just steps away from restaurants, the harbor, and local shops. And only six-minute drive to Acadia National Park. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We loved staying here! It was quiet and an easy walk to everything downtown. Maureen was wonderful and gave us recommendations for places to go during our stay in Bar Harbor.

We had such a wonderful stay at Island Place! Kim was so friendly when she checked us in and gave us so much helpful information about the area. The location couldn’t be better—an easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor and just a quick drive to Acadia National Park. Parking right out front was super convenient. The rooms were immaculate, cute, and perfectly quaint. We loved having a sitting area right outside our room on the deck to relax and drink some coffee, and the gardens were absolutely beautiful. We even met the owner as we were checking out, and she was so kind and personable. We’ll definitely stay here again for both the cleanliness and the unbeatable location. Highly recommend!

I visited Bar Harbor a few weeks ago on my first solo travel adventure. I was a little apprehensive, as I hadn't done the most thorough job of researching and planning and didn't want to waste too much time getting my bearings. Maureen was exceptionally friendly and helpful. As soon as I got in, she gave me a full rundown of where things were (maps included), as well as detailed instructions of the best ways to do the activities I wanted to do. She put my mind at ease right off the bat, and the stay ended up being exactly what I wanted. Island Place is clean, quiet, fairly priced, and a short walk away from everything in Bar Harbor. Highly recommended.

Super cute Inn! It was extremely clean and the owner is the sweetest! She had so much useful information for us during check in and throughout the trip, including about the best ways to get into Acadia National Park and info about the free bus shuttle service that will also transport your bikes for free! The inn is in close walking distant to the main strip in Bar Harbor. So many restaurants and shopping nearby! Would definitely stay here again!

This location was excellent within Bar Harbor. It was close to restaurants, shops, and the water. It was also a very close drive to Acadia National Park, usually within 15 minutes or 20 minutes tops. The room itself was spacious and clean. The front office had a water station to refill for hikes and also coffee. We were also able to keep our car parked right out front in a very convenient location. Front desk staff could not have been nicer. They were helpful with restaurant locations and suggestions. Also with just general conversation and information. Very happy with our stay here.

Staying here was the best decision we could’ve made! The rooms were very clean and tidy. This inn had everything we needed: the lobby had ice, a water bottle refilling station, maps, toiletries, and more. The deck had nice seating for fresh air. The location was so central and within minutes of walking to everything we wanted to access in the town. And the best part was the staff — super friendly and gave helpful advice on our itinerary!

The hospitality was outstanding – fresh hot coffee always available, insider recommendations for restaurants, and fantastic suggestions for activities beyond Acadia National Park. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests' experience. Location is unbeatable: We easily walked to downtown Bar Harbor's incredible restaurants and shops (just a few blocks!), saving on parking while soaking in the charm of the area. It's also perfectly positioned close to Acadia National Park. The room was immaculate – seriously spotless. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I was thrilled to find not one but TWO comfortable chairs for unwinding after long days of exploring. These thoughtful touches matter! If I could give Island Place 10 stars, I would without hesitation. Their warmth and attention to detail transformed our special trip into something truly magical. Do yourself a favor and book here.
